Fair rules for the public How2Revise website.
These terms cover the free, no-login revision guidance currently available at How2Revise. They are written for people in the United Kingdom.
Effective and last updated: 30 August 2026
1. Who we are
How2Revise is a product and trading name of ECOMMERCE ONLINE LTD, company number 12568562. Our registered office is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX. The current company record is available from Companies House.
Branded email is not active yet. Send written company, legal or privacy correspondence to the registered office above, marking the envelope for the relevant team.
2. When these terms apply
These terms apply when you browse the public pages or use the no-login Revision Reset. By using the website, you agree to follow them. If you are under 18 and do not understand a rule, ask a parent, carer or teacher to read it with you.
These are website-use terms, not subscription terms. Before we offer any paid service, an adult purchaser will receive separate, reviewed terms showing the exact price, trial conversion, first charge, recurring period, cancellation, refunds and statutory rights before agreeing.
3. What the current service does
How2Revise teaches a repeatable revision method using schoolwork a pupil already lawfully has. The public service provides general educational information and a browser-based reset. It is not a school, tutor, exam board, textbook, mark scheme, counselling service or emergency service.
- Use your teacher’s instructions, course specification and authorised materials for the subject facts.
- Check important answers and exam requirements against the original source.
- Do not treat the website as a grade prediction or guarantee.
- Seek a qualified professional for medical, legal, safeguarding or mental-health advice.
We take reasonable care over our original guidance, but revision outcomes also depend on the pupil, materials, teaching, assessment and other factors we do not control.
4. The no-login Revision Reset
The reset stores an unfinished draft locally so the same device can return to it for 24 hours from creation. It is cleared at that deadline while How2Revise is running, or on the next How2Revise visit after a closed or suspended browser. Completion or manual clearing removes it sooner. How2Revise does not receive that draft. Do not type a full name, school, address, contact detail, health information, password or confidential material. Read our Privacy notice and Cookies and local storage page for details and controls.
5. Rules for using the website
You may use the public content for personal, family and classroom revision support. You must not:
- break the law, infringe another person’s rights or encourage harm;
- upload, paste or distribute a textbook, paid resource, private school material or other content you have no right to use;
- try to obtain another person’s information, bypass security, introduce malware, overload the service or interfere with its operation;
- misrepresent How2Revise content as an official exam-board answer, professional advice or a guaranteed result;
- copy or republish a substantial part of the website as another product, dataset or commercial service without written permission; or
- use automated access in a way that ignores our technical controls, disrupts the site or unlawfully extracts protected content or personal information.
A teacher may link to the public site and use reasonable extracts with attribution where the law permits. For a wider licence, use the postal legal route above.
6. Ownership and other people’s material
Unless identified otherwise, the website design, branding and original How2Revise text are owned by or licensed to ECOMMERCE ONLINE LTD. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use them for lawful personal or educational use. This does not transfer ownership.
Names, trade marks and linked materials belonging to other organisations remain theirs. A link is provided for convenience and does not mean that its operator endorses How2Revise. A credible copyright concern can be posted to the registered office above, marked “Legal”, with the page address, the work concerned and enough information for us to assess it.
7. Safety and support
The public service is not continuously monitored and cannot contact emergency services for you. If someone is in immediate danger in the UK, call 999 or 112. A child can contact Childline free on 0800 1111. The branded safeguarding inbox is not active; use the official and postal routes on the Safeguarding page.
8. Availability and changes
We may fix, update, temporarily suspend or remove public features for security, legal, accessibility or operational reasons. We will take reasonable care, but we cannot promise that a free website will always be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device. We will not deliberately reduce a statutory right through a website update.
9. Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits responsibility where the law does not allow it, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Nothing affects the statutory rights of a consumer.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, was not caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, or arose from using the public service for business or another purpose it was not designed for. We do not accept responsibility for material controlled by a third-party website.
10. UK law and resolving a problem
Please use the postal company route above so we can try to resolve a problem. If you are a consumer living in the UK, the mandatory consumer protections and courts available where you live are not taken away by these terms. The law applicable to you may differ between England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Competition and Markets Authority explains the standard expected of fair consumer contracts. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply so far as the law permits.
11. Changes to these terms
We will update the date and explain a material change on this page. We will replace these public website terms with separate adult subscription terms before enabling checkout, and with age-appropriate rules before enabling a child account, upload or free-text AI feature. Archived versions can be requested through the postal legal route above.
