Short rules for pupils
Use How2Revise to practise. Be honest, kind and safe. Do not share private information, passwords or whole books. Do not use it to cheat, harm someone, contact another pupil, break security or create illegal content. Tell a trusted adult if something worries you. You can report a problem without losing your right to help.
Use the service for revision practice
A future account would let one pupil whose parent made the 13–16 setup declaration practise a revision method with lawful material they already have. It would not be an answer-writing, marking or pupil-messaging service. The adult account holder would be responsible for keeping the account secure and helping the pupil understand these rules.
Do not use it to
- submit AI output as homework, coursework, an exam answer or another person's work;
- upload a whole book, exam paper, mark scheme, paid resource, confidential school document or material you have no right to use;
- share a full name, address, exact school, phone number, password, card detail or unnecessary private information;
- create, seek or distribute sexual content involving a child, grooming content, threats, self-harm encouragement, doxxing, harassment, hate or other unlawful or seriously harmful material;
- try to contact or identify another pupil through the service;
- introduce malware, steal credentials, probe another person's account, bypass safety controls or disrupt the service;
- scrape, resell, copy or republish the service or its protected content as a commercial product or dataset;
- share an account or use the one pupil profile for another pupil; or
- misrepresent How2Revise as an exam board, school, teacher, counsellor or guaranteed route to a grade.
Checking and reporting
An AI suggestion can be wrong. A pupil should check the original material or ask a teacher, and use the report route when a revision path is unsafe, inappropriate or clearly wrong. A report must not be used to punish the pupil, train a general model or pressure the family to keep paying.
Proportionate action
The proposed response would depend on seriousness and context: a clear warning or correction for a minor mistake, a limited feature restriction where needed, and account suspension only for serious or repeated risk. Decisions would be recorded, minimise child data, consider the child's best interests and offer an adult or pupil a human challenge where lawful and safe. The final process must not rely only on an automated classifier.
Privacy help, a complaint route and emergency or safeguarding signposts would remain available even if an account or feature were restricted. A pupil would not be shamed, threatened with a lost streak or denied help to pressure compliance.

Questions and appeals
The support and legal addresses are delivery-tested, but monitored human handling is not yet verified, so public email routes remain closed. The complaints page describes the unapproved future human-review route.
Approval still required
Qualified reviewers must settle prohibited-content boundaries, evidence retention, child-safe notice, suspension thresholds, human appeal, law-enforcement handling and the relationship with the final subscription terms. This candidate has no effective date and cannot be enforced as a future account policy.
