This text is not an approved account, subscription, privacy, cancellation, acceptable-use, copyright, complaints, safety or security policy, is not legal advice and is not accepted anywhere in the current service. General public registration, live paid checkout and public pupil-facing AI remain closed. Approved adult-managed testers have a separate controlled route, including uploads, tutoring and owner-only sandbox payments; this draft does not authorise that route. Short rules for pupils
Use How2Revise to practise. Be honest, kind and safe. Do not share private information, passwords or whole books. Do not use it to cheat, harm someone, contact another pupil, break security or create illegal content. Tell a trusted adult if something worries you. You can report a problem without losing your right to help.
Use the service for revision practice
The controlled same-domain tester lane can let one pupil whose parent made the 13–16 setup declaration practise a revision method with a short lawful extract they already have. It may suggest a source-grounded goal, key ideas and unanswered practice prompts; it must not write a finished solution, complete homework, mark, grade or message another pupil. Ordinary public schoolwork uploads remain closed. The adult account holder is responsible for keeping the account secure and helping the pupil understand these draft rules.
Do not use it to
- submit AI output as homework, coursework, an exam answer or another person's work;
- upload a whole book, exam paper, mark scheme, paid resource, confidential school document or material you have no right to use;
- share a full name, address, exact school, phone number, password, card detail or unnecessary private information;
- create, seek or distribute sexual content involving a child, grooming content, threats, self-harm encouragement, doxxing, harassment, hate or other unlawful or seriously harmful material;
- try to contact or identify another pupil through the service;
- introduce malware, steal credentials, probe another person's account, bypass safety controls or disrupt the service;
- scrape, resell, copy or republish the service or its protected content as a commercial product or dataset;
- share an account or use the one pupil profile for another pupil; or
- misrepresent How2Revise as an exam board, school, teacher, counsellor or guaranteed route to a grade.
Checking and reporting
An AI-suggested method, goal, key idea or practice prompt can be wrong. A pupil should check every important point against the original material or ask a teacher, and use the report route when a revision session is unsafe, inappropriate or clearly wrong. A report must not be used to punish the pupil, train a general model or pressure the family to keep paying.
The image, source content, generated plan and typed practice answers are transient in the How2Revise app and are not written to its database or filesystem. The provider's retention rules shown before an image is sent may still apply.
Proportionate action
The proposed response would depend on seriousness and context: a clear warning or correction for a minor mistake, a limited feature restriction where needed, and account suspension only for serious or repeated risk. Decisions would be recorded, minimise child data, consider the child's best interests and offer an adult or pupil a human challenge where lawful and safe. The final process must not rely only on an automated system or AI output.
Privacy help, a complaint route and emergency or safeguarding signposts would remain available even if an account or feature were restricted. A pupil would not be shamed, threatened with a lost streak or denied help to pressure compliance.

Approval still required
Qualified reviewers must settle prohibited-content boundaries, evidence retention, child-safe notice, suspension thresholds, human appeal, law-enforcement handling and the relationship with the final subscription terms. This candidate has no effective date and cannot be enforced as a future account policy.
