Current status: not yet independently assessed for WCAG conformance.
The public release was built toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA, but it has not yet completed the independent manual, assistive-technology and disabled-user testing needed to claim conformance. We do not describe the site as “fully accessible”.
Readable layout
Responsive type, clear headings, contrast-aware colours and reflowing layouts support zoom and smaller screens.
Control stays with the pupil
The reset timer can be paused, sound is off by default, and reduced-motion preferences suppress non-essential movement.
Plain instructions
Steps are short and stable. Important meaning is not intended to depend on sound, animation or colour alone.
Our working standard
WCAG 2.2 AA, tested by people.
Automated scans can find some defects, but they cannot prove that a pupil can understand and complete a revision session. Manual keyboard, screen-reader, zoom/reflow and disabled-user testing remain launch gates for account and payment features.
- Public, legal, help and pupil journeys included.
- Mobile, desktop, keyboard and representative screen-reader combinations.
- Zoom, reflow, contrast, labels, errors, timing and reduced motion.
- Age-appropriate comprehension as well as technical operation.
Known limitations
- No completed independent audit: automated and developer checks are not a substitute for a formal manual assessment.
- No completed disabled-user research: pupil testing must wait until the privacy and safeguarding research controls are approved.
- English only: the current interface does not offer a Welsh-language version. This is stated rather than implied otherwise.
- Third-party destinations: official government, regulator and support links are outside our control and may have different accessibility support.
- Account journeys are closed: signup, payment, saved pupil profiles and free-text AI are not part of the current public service and are not covered by a conformance claim.
As testing identifies specific defects, this page should list the affected content, workaround and target fix date. A general statement must not hide a known barrier.
Ask for help or another format
The branded support inbox is not active yet. Write to ECOMMERCE ONLINE LTD, 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX, marking the envelope “Accessibility”. Tell us:
- the page or step that is difficult;
- what you were trying to do;
- your browser/device and assistive technology, only if you are comfortable sharing it; and
- the format or adjustment that would help.
Do not include a pupil’s full name, school, address, diagnosis or private schoolwork. A parent, carer or pupil may contact us. We should reply in an accessible format and avoid asking for medical evidence where it is not necessary.
Legal and technical references
Our technical target is the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2. Service-provider duties differ between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The official starting points are the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s reasonable-adjustment guidance and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland’s accessible-services guidance.
